How To Develope Esp

This morning we are going to talk about EST. Actually the title says, How to Develop EST.

But I'm not really going to talk about exactly that, though we will bring the basic idea in, in relation to the ways and means for developing certain types of awareness. It first of all we should know what do we mean by esp you see unfortunately in occultism the idea seems to have developed with most people that if anyone has whatever they mean by esp they're looked upon with awe somehow they're almost people apart the people who haven't got esp P seem to think that the one who does have it or at least who says he has it is more highly evolved something more marvelous something one should reach for sometimes there's a little envy if we're very sweet souls we don't exactly envy we merely yearn to also have this marvelous something and of course the big problem is we don't know what we're talking about or yearning over because we are truly confused let's analyze EST let's see what it actually is and whether we need to try to develop it although curiously enough of starting them about the middle of January both on Monday afternoon and Thursday evenings I am starting a new series which I intend to run for quite a long time I think it depends on how the group does I will often think I'm going to take a particular aspect of the work and let the class run for many months and then decide the group is not being either receptive enough or the or the there's too much stimulus and I'll finish the course quickly and start a new subject I never know how long I'm going to keep any of the work going because I watch your development and always what is happening to you determines on what we do Sunday morning Thursday night and so on at any rate I said curiously enough in that particular course that we are starting we've never done it before that has slanted it in that particular direction shown it in that phase we're going to start a course that claims to and it will claims to help you to develop super sensory powers that I forget exactly what the title is but it's something like that and this is exactly what we are intending to try to do with you in order to help you gain more control over the faculties you have in order to help you recognize just what is happening to your consciousness and it's really tremendously essential in the higher occult work to do this but that's for the course this morning we want to try to understand the ideas involved with ESP so as we said we asked what really is ESP well actually it seems to be an ability to become aware of something without the help of the physical senses at least this is approximately how the scientists would describe it that is those advanced scientists who go in for studying the human mind and its powers the parapsychological type of phenomena they call it now it sounds pretty we always called it plain psychism before but I like the sound anyway makes it more respectable which is nice but we can ask well how can anyone become aware of anything without the physical using the instrumentality of the physical senses of course materialists just don't believe it and even if you prove it to them whoever thinks they've proven something are just plain deluded this person or this group of person would be considered nothing but deluded fools because some of us know very well it's impossible not anyone here of course I mean in the world as humanity and as a matter of fact almost the majority of people consider a certain type of awareness in consciousness impossible look upon those who seem to have it as being quite balmy and this peculiar thing is it's quite true what do you think fills our insane asylum you know what uncontrolled ESP this isn't known it isn't realized and so there's a good reason for the care that has been taken and for let us even say some of the fears that have arisen in some circles of metaphysics but this is only because they're ignorant if we were going to walk in fear and refused to take various chances we wouldn't dare to cross the street I think that crossing the street in Los Angeles is one of the most dangerous things you can undertake especially on foot isn't that right or getting behind a car we get nowhere without courage and daring but of course the more we know about just what kind of drivers we have in Los Angeles the more careful we are won't we cross the street that we don't get on into their clutches or under their clutch, car clutch, should we say. And so the potentiality for crossing the street safely becomes larger and larger to the degree that we look upon reality and see just what it is, and what is involved, and we understand how to do it.

So that most of us cross the street safely all the time. Well really the same thing is involved with ESP. with psychic faculties but we have gone off again we haven't described as much as we want to just what is meant by being able to be aware of things without the instrumentality of the physical senses for example if I see something that isn't there that is isn't there in terms of the physical senses if I see something and you don't see it I will either be exercising a super sensory faculty that is clairvoyant or I will be a little bit off the beam and perhaps wavering in sanity depending on who it is that knows about it and what is involved with it at any rate clairvoyance is seeing something at a distance or even present which other people cannot see that is seeing something without the physical eyes the consciousness is seeing itself now clear audience is hearing something that isn't there to hear that is it isn't there to hear with the physical ear in your immediate vicinity if I for instance hear something that's going on in New York and later on it turns out that what I heard was correct how did I hear it my physical ears couldn't pick it up because the physical ear has a limited range but something in my consciousness was able to hear it this then there's clairsentience that's called clairaudience then there's clairsentience this is this is the ability to directly perceive or feel other people's emotions this also involves a type of thinking in the emotions and to feel substances that just aren't there you know super sensory perception is just sort of being washed with all sorts of stuff that isn't there actually isn't it and then we also have within these ranges telepathy for example we have what telepathy is one of the super sensory phenomena this is as our modern scientists call it now one of the psi faculties which I like to I mean as a term and telepathy is the direct mind-to-mind awareness that doesn't take the form of either sound or sight within my mind pops an idea that was in your mind or vice versa and the peculiar thing is the most ranked materialist will admit to having had this telepathic experience that he can't or she can't explain they just shake their heads and say that peculiar they'll continue being materialistic but you see telepathy actually is something we all have none of us have to develop it the psychic faculties we all have too curiously enough we don't really have to develop it we just don't understand what it is some of us have startling experiences that show it up that make us aware of it and sometimes the awareness is so strong that we lose contact with the field of experience we need to be in so let's try to see what it actually might be. In fact, what we know is involved in the ESP faculties.

You've heard us tell you many and many a time that actually our whole so-called physical body is nothing but an, nothing but, listen to me, as though that explains the miracle.

We get used to using such foolish terms, don't we? That we are an electromagnetic field, each and every one of us whatever that means anyway it is a field of energy that is held within a certain form ovoid usually like the shape of an egg and within this field of energy which is electromagnetic in in a way so it is more than that we abide that's where our consciousness is and it's within this electromagnetic field that the atomic structure, the same atoms that sweep the universe, are kept within this framework. It's like wiring, not really wiring them, but magnetically holding certain atoms along a magnetic string, you see, held together so that it is in a type of condensation. And we experience each other this electromagnetic field we are aware of each other then on that level and it's a vibration it's all vibratory in nature all of life light sound it's all vibration we are an electromagnetic field we might also say we are a certain vibrational speed or a level within an ocean a vast ocean of something and so each of our individual awarenesses our consciousness is in a sense imprisoned or it's held in violate or it has its little dike built around or a wall although it isn't a physical wall it isn't a solid wall it's a wall of energy nearly like a marking out spot with a pencil that doesn't separate the paper it just marks out an area for drawing you might say or making a picture we are each that and because our consciousness yours and mine happens to be centered focused on a certain vibrational level this is what we call the ability for each and every one of us to communicate with each other on that level that is we have our awareness on a level which we call the physical universe and we all share on that vibrational level mainly because this is where our consciousness or our attention is focused as a matter of fact it's the higher self that has it focused there or if you want to go a little beyond that the entire physical universe is a focused field electromagnetic field that the Lord of the universe is holding an image in its mind within which are the smaller fields which are ourselves nevertheless our awareness being focused on just one part of it or say one vibrational level all we are usually aware of is what we call the physical world which comes to us through the instrumentality of our physical senses in this way we look with our eyes actually our eyes don't see a thing this is what most people don't realize what happens is that some vibration out there comes through what we call our eyes into our brain and our brain sets up an electrical an electromagnetic pattern and this electromagnetic pattern then is taken by our consciousness because the brain is not our consciousness it's the instrument through which consciousness works on this vibrational level so from this brain this electromagnetic message of what impact of what awareness is taking in comes to the self the actual awareness of consciousness and so it is seen as a picture as a person as a tree as a star in other words there was a physical effect upon consciousness which we call physical although it was merely emotion in substance or in energy which we call substance the same with hearing any sound creates a certain vibrational level it starts a beat which enters the beat enters into our ears goes to our brain and the consciousness listens to this vibration to this speed or level and interprets it as a sound So that when we talk to each other for instance in speech, we are speaking to each other very poorly We never get the complete thought across because we're speaking In a matter that's removed from direct consciousness. Don't you see?

It's like taking a symbol we're taking an idea and we are reshaping it into sounds and making vibrations and sending to the other consciousness the same vibration which they have to take and interpret so that you have all chances of error taking place and they do you know what you are speak so loudly I cannot hear what you say is often said and very few of us are able to understand each other through verbal communication alone because we have different ways of interpreting what we say we get all excited or upset about a word you know and our emotions go haywire and this is take with touch now in order to experience touch we have to touch something the table or each other and then again it's just a vibration an electromagnetic area touches an electromagnetic area and an impulse electrical shoots up to the brain and this electromagnetic thing is reinterpreted in consciousness and so we say I touched something and what it is so it's a very some people think unrealistic manner of contact yet on the other hand it isn't for this reason in order to evolve self-consciousness as you have heard us tell you we need to have a very good specialized field And we need to be concentrated on this field and be taking in experiences through the electromagnetic vibrations, which we call seeing and hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and so on.

And we share this with each other on that level. However, if you will remember that consciousness is the real seer, that is, it's the one that really has the sensory experience.

Consciousness itself you will start to realize also as a cult aspirants and having studied as much as I hope you've already studied by this time you will start to realize that although consciousness experiences certain things through the senses on this level it is not limited to this level so that in Qabalah for example we happen to know and incidentally much of modern psychology has borne us out. We happen to know that there is a level underneath in Qabalah we call this yesed on the Tree of Life and that's called the vital soul which man shares with all life below him. This is in a sense what you might call a part of our astral body you see or instead of astral body we could say this it is another electromagnetic field on a more rapid vibrational rate in other words it's going even faster than the electromagnetic field which we call our physical body and as a matter of fact we have several bodies like that they're each within the other none of them interfere with each other because they're each at a different rate so they can occupy occupy the same space just like in your dreams you know people who might be in Timbuktu can occupy the space of your consciousness while you're dreaming about them can't they and yet physically they'll seem to be in Timbuktu in the world of the actual consciousness you haven't got that strong a separation now in ESP which means let's take it first in terms of telepathy all that occurs and it occurs all the time is that because we are already in telepathic rapport with each other without being aware of it our thoughts when they flow back and forth they affect us and affect each other now it goes on all the time but we are not aware of it when we become aware of it we say this is an experience of ESP, that is at least in telepathy. For example, those people we are close to, our husbands and wives find more and more that this telepathic rapport becomes stronger and stronger. In families it becomes so. The more things you share together, you see, the more telepathic rapport you establish. And it isn't that you establish so much more, it's just that there are more opportunities for it to rise up in consciousness, for you you to become aware of the fact that for instance I was thinking of so-and-so and then she called me you see this is an ESP experience and every one of you have had that one way or another or you think of someone or someone thinks of you and there's a letter though there may not have been one for god knows how long you see this is an ESP experience this is what this is what we call the telepathy aspect but the funny thing is you can't separate them as clearly as our scientists try to do all right now take clairvoyance though here you have something very different because actually you see a picture in your mind or you can see the picture outside in either case you could be seeing a very correct picture suddenly and of course the books are full of these case histories suddenly you could see somebody you know or don't know with every clear detail doing whatever that person is doing at whatever distance you could see it either like in a space in your head or you could see it as happening outside and where did the picture come from your physical eyes did not register it that's what's called clairvoyance actually it is another form telepathy takes in really all of the ESP faculties except they have a different specialized way of coming to our attention this is what's so little realized basically by many of the researchers so that if you have an experience of clairvoyance where you see something or someone at a distance you've really made a contact which has which your consciousness has built up as the picture in the same way that your consciousness builds up the picture when it sees with its physical eye except that it's contact was from that level of being that where space and time have no meaning where to think is to be there you see you think of the star uh uh octurus and a part of your consciousness is there the instant you're thinking of it believe it or not because you've thought of it you see whatever you think of there a part of you is a part this is the point we take little parts pseudopods reaching out in every area and this is part of what occurs in all kinds of esp experiences and the same way with with hearing it is really a telepathic experience if we called all ESP specialized forms of contact and lumped them under the heading of a telepathic contact we'd be more correct but now let's try to understand what it is what it means the fact that we have these experiences and other people have them is true now you may ask what makes some people have it and some not here is a very good question and I'll tell you this may surprise you for one thing it has to do with the kind of vehicle you've got and I'll tell you another thing that may surprise you the kind of vehicle you have that is whether your vehicle is basically psychic or not is more or less hereditary this may surprise you now when we say hereditary we're not putting it on a materialistic plane remember the whole genetic factor is carried on on the subtle spiritual plane through electromagnetic attractions and that the genes really carry the memory of the electromagnetic attractions so that anybody who has had relatives of one or more relatives who've been very psychic they're more apt each generation is more apt to have one or more people who are psychic this and we can show you how this even shows up for instance lately it has been discovered that people can be given psychic experiences through drugs all through the years it has been known I mean down through all sorts of periods that anesthetics will often throw people into sudden types of psychic experiences or ESP experiences and one wonders why well actually you see it's a chemical something chemical they give certain drugs to certain people and people who've never had an ESP experience in their lives that they're aware of more a matter of outer awareness will have it under this these particular drugs you know the lethargic acid and other things certain mushrooms that they've done that have been done well so that by taking a chemical mind you an ESP a period of an hour or two hours or five hours takes place where a person develops ESP we're not saying it's good mind you on the other hand we're not yet saying it's bad it all depends nothing is good or bad except in the proper framework you know where and how and when so we have that now why would a chemical something do a thing like that I mean you start getting a little worried you start thinking maybe it is a materialistic something as we mentioned yet consider our bodies aren't material any things at all we just experience our physical bodies as being materialistic they're merely being something held in a field of force and that we experience it that way however even more than that remember that the chemical something is made up of electromagnetic influences anything you do you take it down the line from a rock you know and you you analyze it down to its molecules you'll finally get down to atomic structure into electromagnetic something you take a chemical effect take the chemical effect and analyze it down and you have and you get it down to an electromagnetic type of something that is happening so that taking certain chemicals what really occurs is that it slows down or washes out or suppresses the very different ones do it in different ways the tremendous concentration on the vibrational level which we call physical which has its chemical correlates because we are a chemical factory continuously and you see each one of our cells keeps manufacturing chemicals from the what's now called a bioelectricity of each cell so they change a bioelectricity element in the body temporarily sometimes it can damage a person some of the things they've been working with apparently have not been damaging people and they they give them in other words an induced awareness of an electromagnetic level that usually is not there because the chemistry of the vehicle keeps the attention more related to what's going on out there to the impact of the electromagnetic magnetic vibrations of what we call the physical world now the idea then that psychic vehicles usually come from families that have a tendency to to psychic vehicles being so let us ask does this mean that they're more spiritual families and we could almost swear and say H no because so many people seem to think it is so and this is what makes it so sad being psychic having ESP has nothing to do with spirituality it has nothing to do absolutely nothing to do with higher knowing when we get this into our mind and we stop worshipping ESP then we'll be in a better position to start developing the higher kinds of consciousness which incidentally automatically open up ESP also ESP is real it exists whether we are aware of it or not and we'll give you some examples of just why there are certain attitudes are held regarding it for instance I don't know how many of you know that the most of the yogis in the East most of the the Eastern philosophies including the Vedantins claim that the greatest hindrance on the path of illumination is a psychic vehicle what do you think of that they do the greatest hindrance they say on the path of illumination is being psychic you ask why now what is being psychic being psychic means having a tremendously high order of esp that's all it amounts to really I mean and there as we told you there are different forms of ESP but in a sense you can call it one thing depending on the various predispositions that consciousness has to either build it up with sound or sight in its consciousness or touch now why should this be so all right we're going to explain this to you a little more carefully now we remember share our subconscious level which is called yes of the vital soul with all of life below us now what is the subconscious level in Qabalah we call it this the foundation of the physical of course but it is much more and it is there which incidentally purification must take place for the higher kinds of consciousness so we share and what is it that we share then with all life below us all right we share the thinking and the feeling and the reproductive drive and the survival drive basically and the whole feeling of livingness you know just plain old beautiful gorgeous living we share it with all life below us and all life above us I mean this is the ocean of a particular level now the electromagnetic vibrations are go gradually you see from the what we call a physical level up through what is often called the etheric level through lower astral levels and on up to ever more graduating grades of spiritual level so that for instance when somebody is said to die you see when that attention is withdrawn dying is merely the withdrawing of attention from the physical vibrational level so that when the attention is withdrawn from holding that electromagnetic oval on this level it just withdraws to its next level however here's the point depending on your spiritual level of evolution when you die here's what happens when anybody dies automatically your own rate vibrational electromagnetic vibrational rate draws you to that level which is akin to your spiritual evolutionary level automatically so that for instance if you're full of jealousies hate wishing one or many other kinds of kinds of people would drop dead you know sort of thing these the envies self-pity self-centeredness delusions and delusions and so on when you drop your physical vehicle which is really withdraw your attention from this field you'll automatically automatically be on the lowest I Hope nobody hears that way I'm sure not You would automatically be on the lowest of what is called the astral levels, which is really hell All right now because we have to be residing no matter how spiritual we are Our consciousness has to be on this level and we have what you might call. It's almost like a thin membrane It isn't really a physical thing it isn't even a subtle substance it's a vibrational thing that that is similar to a membrane we have a protection around us that keeps all those lower vibrational level thinking feelings from seeping in and this is what holds us to our individuality even so we are continuously influenced as we said you know like when a whole nation goes crazy right now it's the twist you know they're laying up all kinds of people the osteopaths are doing a massive business because all those who tuned into that kind of a mass mind need you know gone off into these amazing twists well I imagine it's lots of fun if their bodies can take it in any in any case gets a lot of energy out of the system and releases tensions for those who can take it at any rate you know how things sweep a people hatred sometimes compassion if a child is in trouble that will rouse the beauty most of the time it's the ugliness that gets roused it's a telepathic sweep that takes place well we are the way we retain our ability for self-consciousness the way we evolve it, the way we develop it, is to have this sort of protection, which is really our physical universe as such. And when we die and go to what is usually our own level, we still have that protection because we are at least on the level we belong. And so we share, keeping the amount of individuality that we have evolved up to this point. But always we are influenced. Now, when you to explain why ESP is really not a very happy thing to have so if you have it you have to work a role you have to get along with it that's all but seeping into the consciousness continuously of people who are psychic and have a natural ESP are all the images and the pictures and the the thinkings and the feelings of others so that their own inviolate center of clear thinking is continuously being impinged upon and they don't know it they don't know it at all so it's very it's impossible for this sort of person not impossible no it's very difficult for this sort of person to come to individual conclusions on his own because he's washed it's just like if you have a a dike you know and the water keeps seeping in it keeps wetting that wood and wetting that wood you know sopping it up that's the psychic vehicle has that problem and if it isn't aware of what's happening it could have very serious problems then too things are pretty unhappy on this physical plane I mean let's admit it we have problems all the time this is how we grow until we learn how to handle things and people who are able to have what are called these various psychic visions and so on are very apt to withdraw their attention a great deal of their attention from the physical vehicle and they start dwelling on these images astral plane images incidentally because from the physical plane it's practically always on that level and they'll dwell on the astral plane images and they'll dwell on the astral plane hearings and they'll believe everything they get and what they don't realize is that in as much as that is called the world of illusion most of the images and most of the sounds that you get from psychism are absolutely incorrect in other words you cannot rely on them they're just as incorrect as for instance you send a dozen people out to travel around the world and then you ask each of them to give you a report of what they saw one person will tell you that the system was wonderful and the other that it was horrible one that it was beautiful the other that was ugly one that the people are happy and another that they're miserable and who are you going to believe you should believe neither of them well there's this whole conglomeration of things on this subconscious level of what we call the lower astral or part a certain part of the lower astral and we are exposed to that when we get psychic furthermore we're exposed to the thinking and the feeling of people if we're accurately psychic you see most people who are psychic use it for an escape and they're not here and they're not there and what happens is they lose a great deal of their individuality and have to work that much harder later on to strengthen it it weakens their whole spiritual structure unless they know how to guard themselves against it now if you're born psychic and you've been psychic all your life all right so you have a lesson to learn from it and the lesson you have to learn is to not permit the impacts of this esp to interfere with your keeping your mind and your heart concentrated in living here and now the way to develop really accurate clairvoyant clear audience clairsentient beings incidentally is to concentrate with all your might on your seeing hearing and feeling on the physical plane in this way when you look at something instead of just glancing dimly you know and letting yourself wash subconsciously with the idea you should learn how to look with intentness at every detail the more you learn and because this is concentration as you concentrate and become ever more aware of all the details of color and of form of sound and delicacy of sound all of these attention concentration attention elements you see are sharpening your consciousness and then as you keep searching for the meaning beyond them you open up the inner meanings that take you off into higher levels of perception an example I'd like to give you an example for instance and this has to do with a person because it isn't just a thing this was very long ago I knew someone who I thought was extraordinarily highly evolved he had occult powers of an amazing sort and I was under his instruction for some specialized teaching this was way before I came to dr case and I just thought this man really had everything then something happened and he behaved in certain ways that shocked me to the core in fact it just almost killed me I was such an idealistic soul and I couldn't understand what it was I just went to into hell it was not in accordance with everything I felt should be with this particular man and so I thought about it and thought about it and I analyzed it and mentally I kept looking at him and analyzing and searching for a reason searching for a reason I kept my attention alertly searching not negatively open and suddenly this took months I had a vision of him sitting in his office I saw the position he was in what he was doing there were two other people with him I mean the details were so sharp it was just fantastic but that wasn't all with it I saw into his soul and that was no physical seeing and it was no psychic seeing it was spiritual perception through an ESP perception experience you see I saw into this man's soul and then I understood I saw he was unevenly evolved that although he had one side to him that was superb and magnificently and highly evolved that he was after all a human being still not perfected and there were three I even knew it without counting and there was no image it was a knowing beyond knowing there were three empty spaces in his soul like big black holes is that's just a symbol or an expression I want to use like three black holes although and and what this was really saying was in three very vital areas of his character there was still an empty blackness that had not yet been filled with development and it would need several incarnations to fill in and so I saw now you see that this was not just an ESP experience this is what I'm trying to point out it was ESP with a higher order of knowing and that's what we attempt to do with you that's what the Tarot is for Tarot automatically incidentally starts start stimulating psychic perception automatically but it does it in a special way it does it in such a way as to try to help you get oriented from the spiritual level of knowing and not from a level that you cannot control on the pure esp for instance dr case when he was very very young barely 20 I think he got curious about the Eastern philosophy and decided to go on some yogi exercises diet and breathing and so on and he was born with a psychic body you see which is rather sad although it has helped you and me I have one and it's sad too but it's helped us I mean it has its good and bad points so as the result of these exercises and it didn't take very long stimulated him so that he got his ESP became wide open to being in telepathic rapport with everybody he looked at wherever he went and so he got a he reported he'd get on a streetcar and he sat with murderers and rapists and thieves and he almost went out of his mind and he couldn't lock it out he couldn't cut it off it just opened wide and there he was seeing into the thinking feeling and it interfered seriously with his ability to do the things he should do here and it certainly interfered seriously with his ability to keep his consciousness on spiritual awareness opening up a psychic faculty like that boom so he got busy to desensitize himself and he had to work at it pretty hard and he finally managed to do this and I have had the same unfortunate experiences without working and sensitizing myself in fact I have a problem with that off and on even now because I happen to carry the problem of a psychic vehicle and yet one needs a psychic vehicle and incidentally we all can evolve psychism into our vehicle with the proper work which we're doing together yet you need a certain sensitivity of the vehicle in order to achieve certain things in other words if I couldn't reach into your subconsciousnesses you see and draw out what you need and then return to you from spiritual levels I couldn't be a channel to teach you what you need to be taught and bring you what you need brought to you and that's why double doctor case and I have to decide to come in with a psychic vehicle in order to be able to bring you what we need to for us incidentally it's a cross because people can evolve spiritual consciousness without having to have the problem of these psychic levels that is being tuned in to what goes on in the everyday thinking feeling levels of people and that's what esp does most of the time for instance it has been noted that even people have never had a psychic experience at all very how how often it happens if somebody very near and dear to them is suddenly in danger or dies you know how suddenly they'll have the vision or hear them for one split second the ESP opens up because it was a very emotional something it had deep emotional meaning and that's where most of the ESP functions on this level now when we learn to be tuned in to the higher spiritual awareness which we do with the Tarot and the rest of our work then we can develop a manner of controlling the ESP in other words using it and locking it off as we need to that's what the Masters of Wisdom can do you know they work it from above and though and we are being washed with the ESP with all these psychic areas and levels from below and this is why it is not a good idea to go in for any special exercises that are going to particularly develop you psychically however you cannot help being developed psychically also if you go in for spiritual type of awareness in certain ways except that we can avoid if we can bring the spiritual first we can avoid the dangers of the psychic.

If you have a psychic vehicle, it's your test then. And I know that a very large percentage here have psychic vehicles. It's as easy as I have. And as I've had the test, you have it. We'll share it together and learn how to chuckle with it. Therefore, you have the test of not letting it wash you away into unreality. Because this is the thing that you should know about psychic perception. Not only is it unreliable, but sometimes it is worse than unreliable. It will drive you. For instance, thought forms.

When we develop or go out for ESP, thought forms, powerful thought forms from other people, keep impinging on us. And it makes us unable to have clear thinking, that is, to solve our problems as we should. Then there is again the problem of escaping if we are the kind who like to dream a lot we'll go off into what are called the astral visions and we'll sit and watch the scenery that we see astrally and some of it may be real and some may be mixed with a lot of thought forms it's hard to tell and most of us can't tell the difference between a thought form and reality until we've been trained to that's why we need a spiritual teacher to help us through these things We will sit and watch what goes on on the astral levels Those who have that and avoid just withdraw From the problems of the physical plane and therefore withdraw from our own evolution and we don't even know it We think we're becoming spiritual. Two-thirds of the people who are basically psychic, you know in occultism Because they haven't been warned and taught properly go off into an escape mechanism that is they sit in their psychic awarenesses and therefore keep themselves from attaining a spiritual illumination they could have had if they didn't do that isn't that an astonishing thing but then you see they don't realize it they think that this is a way to get that they're immersing themselves in spiritual energies but you're not immersed in spiritual energies except you feel washing waves of permeating love then you are any of the other psychic things they're not bad or evil unless we're on the evil level but they lure the attention away from what it should be about lures it lures it away from being about your father's business now the one thing we want to understand in relation to the influence of psychic perception along with the rest of the things that we have said here the one thing we want to be able to understand is this that occasionally the grace of God gives us a little flash of a psychic experience here a psychic experience there to encourage us that is to help us see that the materialistic answer to the world is untrue when we have that and most of us get that from time to time when we have a thing like that what we want to do is realize that it is only a psychic experience it's only pointing the line that is not going to take us away from our need to go into the pure spiritual levels and in actuality we will discover that psychic experiences will come to us only when we need them when we start working with the whole vibrational level correctly as we're going to show you how to do in this next series and as you're taught pretty much incidentally even in the lessons that you take at home we're going to try to show you how to keep your consciousness inviolate from being intruded upon because that's what a lot of psychic experience is intruded upon by aliens who are deliberately trying to lure you away from the path how to have your psychic perceptions when you need them to like for instance I saw what that soul was like you are going to be able to have that and more but whatever you do please just one little warning please never let yourself sit in a negative attitude inviting anything to come in other words trying to be psychic never let that happen because this is how obsession takes place and about 99 out of a hundred people in the insane asylum are people who have psychic vehicles who opened themselves up negatively and became obsessed with either thought forms or other entities and lost their own center of being and if they had a need to inflate their ego if they had inferiority complexes they became the napoleons and the christ be careful you don't do that in other ways and if they had fears they became the persecuted ones and so on it's a breaking down of a barrier because of negatively looking at life you will develop clairvoyance you will develop clairaudience you will develop clairsentience all the more quickly and fully and realistically if you will learn to develop it in the physical plane through spiritual aspiration by looking at that rose by looking at that star and trying to see every subtlety of color trying to see every amazement of shape trying to hear every astonishment of sound develop the sense of wonder and look and listen with an alertness and you'll be amazed how suddenly you will have an opening up and you'll see it as it is a real esp experience with the spiritual control that's involved and you will start reading the hearts of your fellow man too by the way if you will put your attention on him like on the flower or the tree you will develop a telepathic rapport so that you will know what makes him weep and laugh only when your attention is on him and you need to know what goes on in that heart and you won't be caught in the horror and hell that could help you lose your sanity so we have told you really how to develop the higher ESP if you will only go out and try it and remember to work with it stop wandering in the astral right here on the physical alert look with physical eye and ear and mind and heart at everything you see with something reaching for an answer to the wonder of this all and you'll be astonished
