Tarot - The Fear Breaker
Our title for this morning is Tarot the Fear Breaker. And as you will note, we have before you this very beautiful, very aesthetic picture of, you know, that terrible fellow, the devil.
And it seems like a strange tarot key to have before you for inspiration doesn't it here we are going to speak about the fear breaker and we present to you what in essence one might say is the very complete and objective representation symbolically of exactly the thing we want to discuss here and again we want to decide together just what it is in our hearts in our minds in our souls that we have been storing what we have putting into the barns of our consciousness in order to reap the various insecurities we have been reaping and we want to see through the face of this devil.
So perhaps there'll be a little hell to pay for a few moments here together, but then that ought to be very pleasant because it will free us, we hope, to proceed in directions that are other.
In our reading from the Gospel this morning, of course, as I told you once before, as I read that beautiful and inspiring talk that Jesus gave I thought to myself well of course the whole story is told here this is it and if we want to leave our people with true inspiration and help we should say the sermon is ended we read it to you from the bible and go with God but then we feel that perhaps there are a few things underneath and behind the things that were read to you from this gospel which we have not quite understood and if we exchange our emotions together as we do when we come together to shall we say silently worship we will find that there are areas of fear we have not recognized and even where we have recognized our fears we have not known where to place the reason for it and therefore we have not known quite how to cope with it so we want to talk about fear and try to understand it a little more than we usually do and And we want to learn to love this fellow, the devil, recognizing him for the face of God, which is teaching his children how to look in proper directions.
Well, remember that in Qabalah, this particular tarot key, this particular Hebrew letter is assigned to the subjective aspect of consciousness, which we call Mertz. Mertz as we know is laughter. Laughter is a chuckling recognition, a chuckling recognition of the ludicrous and an ability to rise above the fearful aspect or the faith that is not a true one. Laughter as we know never comes to those who are in a state of fear and the reason this is true is because when we are in a state of fear we are being concerned as we read to you from our Gospel reading this morning we are being concerned about tomorrow now of course being concerned about tomorrow has many aspects and indeed this is the basis for for our fears, you know, our concerns. In the Eastern school of thought, it's called being attached to the results.
And we'll consider that together. What is it being attached to the results?
Well, whatever it is we're doing, whether we're working on a job in business, whether we are contributing to the welfare of society in a small or larger measure through some service or other, no matter what it is whether we are involved in a personal relationship when we picture the result as something that will make us unhappy this is what we might call the state of fear in other words it's an expectation of lack it's an expectation of tears it's an expectation of disappointment it's an expectation of hopelessness it's an expectation of defeat this is what fear is basically and you will all recall that in our seven steps course the very first group of lessons you receive in the mail to start your occult training the very first thing you are taught and this indeed is taught in all schools of thought in the various ways in which it is done the idea that what it is we hold in our consciousness what it is we tend to expect this is what we are creating we are the creators of life one might say no God creates and of course those who are steeped in just the elemental aspects of metaphysics will say well man creates within a small limited range under God's will or direction but the actual truth of course lies somewhere between and isn't exactly what anyone says says because it cannot be explained verbally. One has to have the realization, the spiritual experience to recognize just what it is that creates. So let's think about our consciousness for a moment and let's analyze what it is that we do. For example, let's think of a situation and a type of situation that perhaps most of us have been involved in at some time or other.
Let's think about personal relationships because fear seems to walk in the human heart more intensively in terms of personal relationships perhaps than in any other realm lots of people think that it exists more in the realm of financial security that is the the fear of not being able to eat or drink or be properly clothed and housed tomorrow. But this isn't really so. This is a secondary fear which we have and we will discuss that. Our primary fear, our primary fear is loneliness and most of us don't realize it. Most of us fear being lonely more than we fear anything else and we escape this recognition that is we attempt to escape this self-recognition by projecting our fears into all the other areas so when we go out and try to perform something very well whether it be in the artistic field or in the business field. Although we think to ourselves we are trying to prove that we are able and we are capable so we can be proud of ourselves and we can handle life, if we will analyze and look below the surface we will see that everything that we do is because we want to prove to others that we are lovable or likable or clever or able so that we will be thought well of so that we will not be lonely so that we will not be lonely we fear aloneness and we fear it with a desperation and some of us fear it so completely that we almost destroy ourselves with these fears and we do not even recognize the source of it most of the time and do you think that people who are married aren't suffering from that they suffer from it also children suffer from it parents suffer from it husbands and wives suffer from it they sit together and they fear loneliness otherwise why would we have jealousy and possessiveness why would we have the need to attempt to cling if it weren't because we fear losing that which will keep us from being lonely the parents fear loneliness if they have attached their idea of not being lonely to the child friends fear loneliness if they attach the idea of not being lonely to friends and social contact and indeed no matter which way we turn loneliness is what shakes the heart with fear basically and perhaps then you will remember another thing that was said so long ago or at least long ago in terms of our time and which is true from forever to forever forever. Perfect love casteth out fear. Perfect love, my darlings, casteth out fear. But then what is perfect love? Tarot, my darlings, is the fear breaker in this manner. It teaches us to look within our own hearts to learn how to differentiate between the personality between the thinking mechanism of the personality between the feeling mechanism of the personality and the soul or the true I that lives these things tarot teaches us to recognize what I really and truly truly is and as it teaches us that it teaches us also through this subtle training process of the impact of the symbolism upon our subconscious response to life it teaches us to experience the unity that exists between our center of I and the universal I which is not separate and therefore the unity that exists between our eye and all other eyes it teaches us in subtle and amazing and miraculous ways as we work with it regularly and we have to work with it it cannot do it by itself that readily it does it in a sense by itself in a subtle manner as we put our consciousness to it but it teaches us to start responding to these other centers of life these other miracles of creation our fellow brethren our fellow fragments of life the little creatures the crawling and walking guards of beingness for the one life it teaches us to start seeing these in the miraculous and and loving manner which one can see and as we start seeing and responding to everyone and everything that comes within our orb of consciousness it's a curious thing we start developing perfect love perfect love casts us out fear indeed and to develop perfect love is simple and yet it is not understood it is not easy remember there's a difference between something being simple and something being easy now why isn't it easy again it isn't easy to develop perfect love mainly because we have fixated ourselves so much in the negative picture of this devilish creature here we have pictured ourselves so chained you see the two figures with the chains around the neck we have imaged ourselves as being so chained to material circumstance and material need we have pictured ourselves as expecting and being doomed we don't realize we do it but we do as being doomed to so many unhappy frustrating and heart-rending experiences we have trained ourselves to expect hell and we know subconsciously that we fear these things as Job said that which I feared has come upon me something in us usually knows even the most materialistic of us even the so-called or apparently least spiritual of us knows from that hidden center of the soul which is a glorious beauty in all whatever we look like on the surface some center of glory within knows that that which we have feared will come because we have been creating negative devilish hellish reverse pictures of what would bring fulfillment and the whole source and essence of it is the feeling of separateness between ourselves and God or the one life, the all consciousness, the feeling of separativeness that exists between you and me in the hearts of most people. And this separativeness is the greatest illusion.
These chains the creatures wear, if you will look, are wide. With their own hands they could take it and lift it up from their head you you could take these chains right now in fact this is what we're inviting you to do you could take these chains right now and you could lift them off from around your neck they're not tightened with any lock it's the simplest thing in the world to get rid of them it doesn't even require much muscular effort all it requires is a realization and this realization is what we always work on when we work together in my talk we work on trying to bring to you an emotional realization of these truths to start planting the seeds if you're not ready yet so it will suddenly bloom next week or next week or next month or next year depending on how much you want to get rid of your chains and do you think really my darlings that you want to get rid of your chains I have something terrible to tell you those of us who have chains do not really want to get rid of them yet you don't believe it I don't blame you but let's examine it a little bit and see whether it is true or not perhaps we can give you a hint and maybe as you see that it might open you just a little more so that before we go out from here this morning we may have that touch of of feeling that unity between ourselves, each with the other, and know at least a little bit more of what it is not to have fears.
How is it that we want to remain in these fears, in these unhappinesses, in these patterns?
Well, let's examine the child.
When a child wants its own way when it's very little very little and mama or papa is not permitting this child to have its own way like for instance picking up a good sharp razor blade or knife or playing around with some nice explosives Papa and Mama get very unreasonable as you know and they say to baby uh-uh no and baby says in essence even if he can't talk yet but I want to notice the emotion I mean there's an indignation in the heart and remember we are are babies let's have the humility of the child as we discuss this together and let's not be afraid to be babies babies are very charming and it's much easier to overlook their weaknesses and if we just decide we are babies we might decide we're quite charming and adorable after all despite some of the nonsense that goes on in our sphere of activity so don't feel you must present this tremendously mature and dignified picture of yourself to yourself it's a little stuffy and it's not so much fun laughter is the secret of all the truly deepest aspects of occultism laughter chuckling and why do we have to walk around with a solemn sense of our own spiritual dignity God loves to play with children and remember it is the child as Jesus said who can truly come to God.
And that being the case, inasmuch as it would be so much more pleasant for us, let's think of ourselves as the child. And then we will see that this little example we're discussing together isn't separate from us. So the baby gets very indignant because it isn't given its own way.
Very indignant indeed. And depending on how much power of will exists in this little soul at this point in its evolution it will throw itself a gorgeous tantrum and it will scream and it will howl and it will hold its breath and become blue in the face do you think you don't do this but I don't do this you You see the point? Let's laugh at ourselves a little, my darlings, to help release this tendency.
So this is what we do. We decide there's something we want. It's vital to us. If we don't get it, why? Naturally, the world's going to come to an end, and if it doesn't, we're going to see to it that our world comes to an end in order to get even with God.
Just like baby's going to get even with Papa. Well, God's our Papa and Mama.
Because it's so separate so we decide we want something and of course if we want it it's our divine right and of course curiously enough we're right we're not wrong that's another charming aspect of it oh god has such a sense of humor don't you think just look around and it becomes become so apparent. So we feel, the baby feels, it's its divine right. And you and I, God's babies, we feel it's our divine right to either have that man or have that woman or have that job or have that acknowledgement or have that friend or what have you. And if it doesn't come we get terribly upset and sometimes we'll get furious of course and we'll and we'll say to ourselves unconsciously I'm going to get even with you for not letting me have that razor blade or that atom bomb or that explosive or that man or that woman or that job we're going to punish Mama and Papa by dying on them. Think back to your childhood carefully. Remember daydreaming when you have felt that you've been very mistreated, daydreaming that you were lying there on your deathbed. Think back. I have never yet known a human being who hasn't done this as a child if you've forgotten it's too bad try to remember it again because remembering it makes it come up to consciousness enough so that we'll recognize it in ourselves today and wonder when we're going to grow up but so think back this dramatizing that we did and haven't we you know with with all the trimmings and we were on our deathbed and hovering around us with mama and papa and perhaps sisters and brothers and always the one who didn't give us our own way you see and they pleading with us get well and we say oh too late too late but I forgive you I mean if we were sweet babies we say but I forgive you because we love to think of ourselves as saints here we're punishing them we're fixing them good by dying so that they're losing the majesty and glory of our presence now what more marvelous thing could you take away from anybody than taking yourself away from them don't you see the devil is murdered and at the same time while we're really fixing them good we're disfewing them too late too late as we swoon away leaving them weeping because you see what our consciousness wanted was for them to be weeping this is what we wanted this is what we wanted and darling a big problem this is what we want today a big problem you husbands and you wise and whatever your relationships are think about it how often do you deliberately say and do the things to stick a little needle a little prick a little cut of course the women are a little more aware of doing it than the men they they you know women had to develop extra shall we say weapons because men are stronger physically than the women so the women developed a little more of the subtle cunning to have their control to get their way through the underhanded means and of course when women won't admit it it just means they haven't got enough of a sense of humor yet they don't haven't learned how to chuckle because men have their also very immature ways each goes along with the kind of organism and we have watched men do this just as beautifully as women nothing is special to one but because women are more aware of the subconscious aspect of life you know they're the more of the feeling aspect of a couple after all that's why men forever complaining about how illogical women are and the women are forever complaining about how illogical men are because they do not recognize that each uses the kind of logic and thinking and arrangement that is the the development of its kind of organism god lives us through the organism and it's really very charming and although most of us if we think about it are very thrilled at the idea or we ought to be I hope that the idea that he created us male and female the differences it makes life much more interesting although of course it gives us a few more battles because after uh we presumably presumably grow up and therefore haven't got the ability to start swooning away and holding our breath and becoming blue, beating our heads against the wall or the floor to punish mom and papa for not giving us our way.
We turn around then and we start doing it to our husbands or our wives. We do it to friends. We do it to our employers, employees, all sorts of things. The moment our ego has been pricked in terms of whatever we feel our ego needs there's a sense of indignation in our hearts some of us say no I don't get indignant I only get hurt I get terribly hurt well do you think that's really any different being hurt is still feeling that they didn't recognize how wonderful we are and of course I'll tell you frankly I agree with you I think everybody should recognize how wonderful we are and I don't blame us for being hurt you see even a negative reaction has its root in a true positive picture something in the glory of the soul knows but the point is we walk in fear of loneliness because from the time we were born much to our chagrin we forget each time after we die and come back again we just kind of forget some of the things we need to learn because growth is such a slow process in some areas of things yet it doesn't need to be but we we forget that it's those who are steep in the need to have their ego inflated who are the most lonely because they have not yet recognized that they have the most tremendous miraculous unique glorious something as their own center of eyes that exists and that so does everybody else you see just like Jesus said if you only knew who I was you would never weep again one could also say if you knew who I was you would never be lonely again and remember I is your eye and my eye and each other's eye and when we know that we don't have to decide to destroy ourselves and this is what we do this is why we have negative at pictures we do not have to decide to destroy ourselves in order to get even with whatever image our mama or papa happens to be though we are apparently grown up we may switch it to husband and wife we may still think of it as god but remember this every time we start imaging pictures that we fear we are using our creative glory in the negative sense and we are picturing it in the negative sense because we have decided to suffer we have decided to suffer for some reason or other now some of our modern psychologists tell us that one of the reasons we decide to suffer and to punish ourselves is because we feel guilty these guilt complexes they claim and they say this is why we for we say pick men who are going to disillusion us or we pick women who are going to disillusion us in our relationships or we pick employ employment situations or business situations where we're going to receive betrayals and so on uh that we do this because we have guilt complexes and so we're forever manufacturing with our consciousness a situation which is going to bring us the disappointment and the unhappiness because we feel we ought to be punished well this is also partially true because if you'll think of the child again remember we've discovered I hope that we have discovered and accepted the fact that we still have in us the infant who holds its breath and gets blue in order to get even with mom and papa when we don't have our way we also have in us a child who has been taught this is good and this is bad and if we have not followed a certain pattern that has been given to us we have this feeling that it's been bad and we need to be punished because it's been drilled into us this is part of the growth of consciousness though and so we proceed to manufacture that which we fear in order to punish ourselves and so we have been seeking actually seeking this experience it didn't come because of any injustice and it didn't come because we are unspiritual and it didn't come because we're evil it came merely because we still hold to an erroneous concept of guilt because we're like the devil portrayed here that star five pointed stars upside down we need to just write it to have spirit leading and guiding with the point upwards and this is what tarot of course helps us to do now if we can then recognize recognize that our unhappiness is the result of possibly two major things number one deciding to destroy ourselves in order to punish somebody we love because they haven't given us what we want right now or deciding to punish ourselves because we did something or think we did something that isn't in line with whatever we have considered should be done if we can acknowledge that we still hold these childish concepts then the next thing we can do is start examining and being able to constructively handle the situation so that we can change it and we can change it indeed if we couldn't change it it would be no use to anything at all if it were not changeable and it is changeable through as we said before a very simple thing by finding out how never to be lonely the human heart that is lonely has not learned how to love perfectly we repeat to you and now let's consider what loving perfectly is in essence rather seriously together now that we showed you what perfect love is not being concerned for the welfare of the other not concerned in terms of fear but having that feeling of goodwill towards the other this is perfect love there are degrees and degrees and degrees of it remember but having this feeling of goodwill towards others now if we have the goodwill towards others incidentally we will have it towards ourselves also won't we at least in those areas where the goodwill flows and as soon as we get tied up again with our own unhappiness or loneliness or feeling of insecurity which is the same thing emotional insecurity is all that it amounts to as soon as we get tied up with that we are again putting all our positive mental imagery in the negative into the negative picture and we are enforcing a necessity for ourselves to again experience the loneliness I have a dear friend who's a very lovely person. Nevertheless, she's reached a considerable age without getting married, and yet she has always wanted to get married. Now what has kept her from being able to marry? She has attracted to herself men one after another who certainly fell very deeply in love with her because she's a very lovable person really but at the same time she has had a tremendous emotional insecurity in this manner she fears what other people think she fears embarrassment she fears as to the impression she makes on others what does this mean then as long as we fear in relation to others if we're afraid that we are going to create an impression that will make us seem undignified or bad or stupid or a little nutty or batty if we fear this then of course what we're doing is holding a very devilish image in our mind and you know most of us do this we're very concerned with what other people think it's the same thing as being concerned about putting up the food, the grain in the barns, you know. It's the same type of concern, except we're doing it with relationship value. When we're concerned with those things, it's because we are not really looking and being and acting in terms of the reality of unity we are accepting the other person's values as being important and I've told this story before but I'd like to just repeat it because it shows it so clearly here about the cannibal because there are a few here who have not heard that about the cannibals on this island it is said during the second world war when our forces landed on a cannibal island the chief was contacted and he was asked whether he and his group would help against the japanese who also had landed on the other side of the island so the chief withdrew and then later he came back for the appointment with the chief of staff of the american American group and he said I have decided that not only will we not give you any aid but I have told all my people there should be absolutely no contact with you whatsoever and the chief staff asked but why and the chief of the island cannibal said because we have been watching you very carefully and we've decided you are the most immoral people we ever came across you kill far more than you can possibly eat and in essence it shows what sort of reactions we have with values for instance if we're afraid that other people are going to gossip about us as far as morals are concerned we're doing the same thing the cannibal chief did though of course I sympathize with his point of view so much nevertheless there are two you know there are two morals to this little story one is what is good and what is bad and again it points up the horror of legal murder so you see you have two different morals involved in the story and what we do we get ourselves involved in other people's concepts of what happens to be moral and this could be the most immoral thing that there is so that this dear friend of mine she had a very wonderful boy who worked nights that is he worked what is called the isn't it the graveyard shift from midnight until 8 a.m. and then he was very tired he had to sleep so that his visits with her always had to be rather late at night before he went on to work for various reasons in his own personal life and she lost this whole situation because she was afraid that her neighbors would gossip about her because his visits would be at an hour when most people are leaving a place where there is supposed to be a so-called moral woman in the home her fear of what the neighbors would say because they would think certain things was her projection you see of an insecurity her acceptance of false values and so her fear always kept her from getting what she he wanted and we do the same thing when that which we feared has come upon us our fears keep us from being fulfilled our fear of loneliness keeps us from being secure emotionally and we cannot ever attain true emotional security no matter how much we try until we find ourselves in our hearts loving and accepting that which we are seeing the spark of god as our true beingness and seeing it in the other person not having the false spirituality you know which thinks well I am so much more evolved than the other because I know the spark of god is awakened or awakening in me but are these others poor misbegotten benighted souls look how unevolved they are how unevolved they are indeed this is what we think even though we still hold our breath and make ourselves blue and keep trying to destroy ourselves because we're not getting our own way so what to do to love what to do and loving remember is developing that aspect which jesus spoke about in our reading from the gospel if our souls were called upon to deliver today what would we be delivering well do you know the way to live then my darling the way to live is to live in a sense as though each day were our last and each day were us first in other words to live in eternity the way to live is to wake up in the morning and to pray to our own higher soul and then to experience and melt into our own heart the feeling and the determination nation that this day we will hold the concept that whatever occurs is good whatever experience comes is beautiful because it is god experiencing it through me that if pain comes this day so what what it is through the developing of the discipline of the muscle that strength comes the ability to play the piano comes from long arduous practice the ability to dance comes from long arduous practice he who would sing like a bird or she who would sing like a bird must practice and practice and a little pain here and there are merely the tests we give ourselves ourselves, that we, you might say, the living through yesterday's holding our breath. It is merely the passing off of our infantile creations of yesterday. That's all that pain happens to be, in a sense. And it teaches us to have compassion for those others who do it try to look at your husband at your wife at your sweetheart at your child try to look at your friend and your enemy particularly your enemy try to look at your neighbor as being a miracle a miracle that is presented to you to love try practicing keeping your attention not on the idea am I getting my way and am I being thought of as a grand fellow or a bright fellow or a lovely gal or a spiritual gal try instead to look for the beauty to look for the loneliness to look for the need that goes on in the other and as our heart pours from within out being concerned for them it comes washing back in ever greater measure and we lose our fear of loneliness when we become concerned to help keep the other person from being lonely don't you see and it is good to have been lonely he who has never been lonely cannot melt with compassion for the need of another. He who has not wept with disappointment cannot feel what goes on in the heart of his brother. He who has not been betrayed cannot hold an understanding heart and and help soothe the wounds of the betrayal of another. There is no pain, there is no sorrow, there is no betrayal, there is no hardship that has not been our gift of God, the treasure that the soul can carry through eternity, because it gives us a deepened capacity to love from within out to understand from within out to comfort from within out and he who is busy loving and comforting and understanding another is he going to have the time to be concerned about sitting alone or being alone or being misunderstood can you see this he who is pouring out to life will he then have time or inclination to worry and weep and grieve that life is not pouring to him?
He who is giving a helping hand to his brother, can he then be concerned about being given a helping hand for himself? This is the secret of perfect love. And does that mean that we we weep and we give up hope of happiness this is the mistake some people have made we have seen those who sincerely trod the spiritual path who have thought well what I must do is sacrifice any hopes of happiness for myself and just try to give happiness to others well do you know what they're doing have you done this I pray god you have not and if you have wake up and laugh and start doing it aright because what is it we have done if we decide we are aspiring so deeply we are just going to sacrifice and give up our personal life all we are doing is building a negative picture of unhappiness and frustration for ourselves and if our energy is going in to this tremendous dramatizing remember dramatizing of our noble spirituality because we are giving up our personal hope for happiness we have again been fooling ourselves and we have not then got the capacity or the ability to pour to others. We do not give up anything. It's just that when we are busily yearning to soothe the ache of our fellow sufferer, if it is our lot to still have an ache or to we will have whatever soothing is required and we must realize that God certainly loves us no less than we love our own children and that fulfillment is something we should expect and not give up but expecting fulfillment is not the same as being attached to results deciding it must be that man or it must be that woman is being attached to the result of one thing instead of saying if I have the need for a companion I think it's this man or this woman but if god has something better for me fine hold this expectation and it comes but if you cling to the one you're holding the chains of limitation around your neck like this charming devil and we reach the charm of sorrow which in time becomes something other but it gives us an opportunity to feel very noble you know it does and it's a nice feeling children may play act at it and we do the same not having quite grown up but you know he who is truly noble is not aware of nobility and he who has dignity of the soul he just acts it so unconsciously that he doesn't have to work at presenting a dignified appearance and he who loves humanity doesn't have to worry about having love or being insecure cure and we always like to remind you that fear is the twin fear is the twin of self-hatred self-punishment self-destruction and the opposite of fear is not courage as you would think because courage is merely trying to do something in spite of being afraid and people who go in for certain areas of activity who don't happen to feel the fear aren't very courageous because they didn't happen to be afraid to begin with no courage is not the opposite of fear the opposite of fear is love love cures all things love makes everything worthwhile and the place that most of us have failed most of the time is in overlooking the fact that every human being we come across is hungering for acceptance and he every human being we come across has reason to hunger for for acceptance my darling how much have you accepted everybody how many human beings are accepted how many husbands accept their wives really in all the areas of their personality how many wives accept their husbands in all the areas how many friends accept each other in all the areas of their personality we have reason to feel this way but if we do have reason it still does not mean that we are going to cure the situation with self-pity or with fear of loneliness we must do something to make the other person feel that there's at least one human being who no matter what what that person does you will not reject them you will understand you will love and remember just as a closing to go with a smile and then with a little inspiration after that remember what I have said so often about my beloved sister you know I have a terrific beloved sister that I like to bring in every once in a while as an example and it is mainly this this sister and I are so close we've been sisters through blood sisters through many incarnations uh that there is that complete acceptance we have one with the other and in fun and chuckle I have said to her beloved sister you know when she has said something about oh I feel I could kill him or something beloved sister please don't indulge this drive as a first of all you know it is slightly illegal to murder anyone second of all if they catch you they might put you in jail or hang you and I wouldn't go for that so I'd have to take you and hide you and have to help you hide the body even though it would sorrow me that you could commit a murder so please try to control yourself and we laugh this is the laughter of love that accepts each other don't you see this is where you have the beauty of a true lovingness and so I like to remind you of this mainly because the whole idea of acceptance is to be able to see the little weaknesses like we see the weaknesses of the child and to let our hearts melt with indulgent love knowing that every weakness is going to someday bring the pains and disciplines in order to be transmuted go out and make up your mind my darling to try to look at each human being you come across with a touch of extra love and compassion and acceptance no matter what they are and during the elections remember whether they're Democrat or Republican it becomes highlighted at that time and you will find that fear will start melting from your heart and emotional security will start taking its place as you start trying to give other human beings the thing they weep for the emotional security of loving acceptance the title
