The Tarot - Mine Of Abundance

0:0057:05

The topic for this morning is the Tarot Mine of Abundance. And as you can see, we have Tarot Key Number 10 up there to impinge itself upon your consciousness to influence, we hope very effectively, your subconsciousness and to help you open the channels for the true meaning of what we have been reading to you from that beautiful psalm and try to help you to understand just what the meaning of security is in terms of abundance and how to more effectively utilize the teachings of this spiritual order in order to get rid of the nonsense of limitation of lack not just in the material sense because always remember always and always remember the material condition is always the final result of of spiritual causes so that it doesn't matter what a material condition is it doesn't matter that we may have had a the same recurring material pattern throughout our lives it doesn't matter if we've had the same recurring pattern through many lives those of us who might have an inkling as to what our past lives were or the conditionings that were involved none of this matters because the material result is merely the final effect of spiritual causes that is why it is so important to see that it is the way we react now in this instance to the final effect of yesterday today it is the way we respond it is our understanding of that aspect which gives us the ability to change the pattern and there's only one way to change it and one time to change it there's no other time that we'll ever do and that time is now if we sit around and say well I've been kind and I've been sweet and I've been unselfish and I've been all sorts of lovely things well I suppose that won't hurt our ego but at the same time if we are going to expect that this is going to change our sense of security we are very much mistaken it will not I've heard so many people and so often say well I do my best to live the good life and then they expect that in as much as they do their best to live the good life they're going to receive their reward and they figure their reward is going to be the aspect of abundance materially spiritually emotionally and so on and my darlings do not let it disturb you when I say to you this is not true this is part of the delusion the illusion that washes through the limited consciousness of the human evolving narrowed aspect of life which we call self-conscious awareness trying to live the good life is a very lovely thing and certainly we'd much rather have people trying to live the good life than making extra effort at living whatever they mean by the bad life and of course we all realize that everyone always figures he is really living the good life and don't think not do you think for instance that Hitler felt other than that he was a great arm of God do you think that Hitler thought otherwise but that he was living the good life and and that it was his destiny and his duty to cruelly and horribly wash out millions and millions of lives, all for the sake of his concept of goodness?

What is good, as even Jesus asked?

We each have our own idea of good, and every time and every climb gives us a different idea of good. And do you really think that the criminal who performs horrible things in our society thinks he's really bad you'd be surprised I've spoken to some and he doesn't really think he's bad he thinks life has just been rough and tough and it is his need in order to survive lies to do these atrocious things and furthermore way deep inside he figures he's giving people their comeuppances they deserve it and so therefore that's good if they deserve it everyone has an idea that at heart he's really good but the trouble is goodness is a matter of what we've decided it is to be good as you know we have mentioned to you before the little mosquito does not think that the toad is a good creature but man thinks the toad is an extraordinarily fine fellow when he does away with the mosquito because man just doesn't happen to like the mosquito around. So from the mosquitoes point of view the toad is evil and from man's point of view in terms of the mosquito the toad is a marvelous guy.

I happen to be very fond of toads myself because I had some very interesting and lovely experiences with some toads right in my own little garden, very amusing ones too. But I love them merely because they're creatures not in terms of what they do or do not do because you see what we're trying to point out to you that no matter what it is we choose to call good from some other point of view it could be called the opposite and whatever we think of as good in one historical era becomes a terrible evil when viewed from another point of view. It has been considered good by most people in most times for instance to commit legal murder through capital punishment. I hope and pray that those who come to a work like this have seen beyond and through this particular idea nevertheless you'll see the nicest finest sweetest people become very emotional about it it's sad but it is necessary we have to kill them because after all they have to they have committed a murder and you see all we are doing is acknowledging is acknowledging that murdering can be good in some instances if this is true which you might do a little meditating about and when our society as a whole or at least the majority of our society decides that a thing is proper why then the rest of us are apt to call it good and when someone goes against what the majority thinks or feels or does that person is considered bad or if we're very kindly disposed we'll just call him insane a little wacky that's when we're very kind otherwise of course we've decided they are evil so you see it isn't enough to think or feel I am trying to live a good life and therefore I will receive my rewards because human beings human consciousness is something other than attempting to live under limited ideas of what is considered good or bad human consciousness is the way the one Lord of life creates and sustains the universe human consciousness is you might say a cell in the mind of God, a mental cell. This is what human consciousness is. Human consciousness must know exactly what happens with our thinking and our feelings, and human consciousness must know how to do something about it. How to do something about it, not just walk around trying to be good.

We know a very dear person who has spent a good part of his life trying to live what he considers the good life.

And yet he has gone through life insecure, miserable, always fearful of whether he is going to be able to support his standard of living for himself and his family come tomorrow or next year or the year after that.

And he has walked around in fear and trembling, and his distrust of life has been very fully fulfilled, because all through his life he has had people betray him financially, and always just at the point where he should have gotten what he deserved from his point of view, he instead found himself locked out thrown out sometimes along with it reviled and there he was still with his insecurity still with his fears yet this is a man who definitely more than anyone perhaps I've ever known tried to live what he considers the good life doing unto others as they would have them do unto them, kindly, doing favors right and less, loyal, dependable, very wonderful qualities, wonderful indeed. Nevertheless, his pattern was one of consistent betrayal financially because financially he felt deeply and profoundly the insecurity as far as being able to support his family in terms of the standards that he had set now then how else is this power used because remember we said trying to live a good life is not enough now please remember we're not recommending that you give up trying to live a good life but what we are saying is that it is very important to find out what the relative value of good and so-called evil are in other words to put things in their proper places to have a proper evaluation. And in order to have a proper evaluation, we of course have to stop identifying ourselves and our powers with the limited little personality. Because as long as we have the limited personality doing the thing, we are caught in the trap of the opposite.

This particular Tarot key for example is assigned to Jupiter the greater benefic astrologically and in the esoteric aspect it is referred to as the pair of opposites called wealth and poverty wealth and poverty all right now what is wealth and what is poverty this is what we have to decide now if we decide that wealth and poverty are involved with having so much money in the bank uh those of you who still hold that idea I hope to disillusion you and instantly and quickly I once suddenly became very wealthy after having exactly nothing I suddenly found myself with 250 $250 in the bank. This was a long time ago and I was very young in my early 20s $250 in the bank it was fantastic To me that $250 was as big as no doubt the million dollars is to the Millionaire or no to the millionaire the million dollars isn't so very big because he's worried about getting a second million So it looks quite small but let's say the person who has been accustomed to a ten thousand dollar idea suddenly finding himself with a million this is about what that 250 dollars happened to be to me and I was most excited and thrilled and happy about it I thought this is marvelous then a very interesting thing happened I found I wasn't sleeping as well and mind you here I only was in my early 20s I wasn't sleeping as well because my mind would go over and over this last fortune I now had what was I going to do with it and incidentally if I did something with it then I wouldn't have it anymore you see now this became quite a problem to me so that there were all sorts of things I thought perhaps should be done but then then I wouldn't have it and I would be out of a fortune and then horror of horrors even worse things occurred to me after all back in 1934 didn't practically every person lose loads of money when it was in the bank how safe was that bank my god in heaven here I had this fortune I might lose it overnight perhaps I better pull it out of the bank and hide it you know like under a mattress or somewhere and then I said but if I do that I won't be getting the interest oh I had quite a time very suddenly all my attention was withdrawn from spiritual aspiration and I was concentrated on this terrible dilemma so you see I know what it is to be wealthy I really do in that sense and finally after going through this hell and truly it was hell for I say about two weeks I woke up one day and I said enough is enough I said what nonsense is this now I know why aspirants have been warned against wealth now I know why it has been said that the greatest hindrance on the path next to being psychic incidentally because we get overly intrigued with that is having money wealth too much of the world's goods or whatever it is that might be thought of as too much of the world's goods this is what has been considered as the amongst the greatest tendrances on the path and I hope you can see why now that I have shared with you my experience in that very same area because do you think it's really any different my 250 dollars and the people who have either a thousand or ten thousand or ten million or a billion do you think it's really any different it isn't this is the terrible cross they bear and I came to the conclusion when I woke up that morning I really did that it wasn't worth it that I just had not grown spiritually enough to withstand the test of being rich and therefore the good Lord knew exactly what he was about and so I very quickly got rid of my $250 in a few very charming ways and then I slept beautifully again after that I didn't have to worry about losing it because I had nothing to lose now I am not recommending that you run to the bank and draw out your savings account and do what I did. I'm hoping that you are at least slightly more evolved than I was or that you can pass the test of riches more effectively than I did at that time. Nevertheless, consider carefully this little story because remember these things is a matter of degrees examine your heart carefully very carefully and discover how much you are banking yeah I didn't think of that the word sort of match on the bank how much I didn't mean it to be a pun but it's or something similar but I'm always charmed when it comes out that way so but think about it examine each and every one of you just what goes on in your emotions in your attitudes if you happen to be fortunate enough or unfortunate enough you see how we can twist the thing nicely to have a certain sum of money in the bank all right now then let's go on to the next factor this wealth or idea of wealth and what it might be and might not be since we are dealing with the pair of opposites wealth and poverty in actuality and surely we should know it here but we apparently need reminders the only wealth that happens to exist is the wealth of consciousness because what is it that creates consciousness consciousness draws from the infinite because well let's put it this way is there any limit to your imagination think of it you can imagine anything can't you that's consciousness now anything consciousness can imagine it creates if it imagines it consistently enough it has to pour the consciousness it has to become concentrated now if you imagine that somebody wishes you ill if you imagine that you have enemies you are creating it and you will create a wealth of enemies because you are wealthy you do not need that $250 in the bank your consciousness creates at all times if you feel you are misunderstood by others you're holding an idea an imaginative picture in your mind. I am misunderstood. You are creating in a vast and amazing manner the misunderstandings that inevitably must come your way from near and dear ones, from friends and enemy alike.

Like because this is what you draw and actually what you draw is the infinite energy which answers every need now you might ask well but do I need enemies that seems to me I need it like I need a hole in the head well you apparently do need enemies and you don't need it like a hole in the ahead otherwise you wouldn't be creating them if you have them and you apparently do need misunderstanding otherwise you wouldn't picture it so beautifully and accurately you must need it because you see we hold in our minds and we hold in our imaginations that which we need whether we know it or not whether we realize it or not and then how are we going to explain this little item very simply indeed if we've gone through the experience of being misunderstood after we wake up to the fact that it has come from us from our Center and not from outside that we created it we attain to the wealth of many insights we attain to the recognition that as long as we expect something we build it and we must experience it number one but again and just as important if not perhaps more important no I guess just as important is it we know then how other human beings other fellow fragments of life feel when they are going through the sorrow and the loneliness of being misunderstood. Therefore we have drawn a wealth of something even when we have been using our consciousness in a so-called negative manner. Do you see the idea? Lots of us have a tendency to develop guilt complexes because we find we have been using this power and we have it whether we want it or not, this this power to create abundantly anything and everything we have a tendency to develop guilt complexes when we discover that we have been creating things that are very immature unpretty or as some people might like to call it evil and remember evil is such a relative thing and then we say oh how could I have done this moan groan and then we start creating an image of ourselves of the fat cloth and ashes of the miserable unhappy repentance very foolish because what are we doing then we are just substituting another another picture which which must come to fruition, of the result of the previous immaturities, we are making for ourselves the picture of someone who is miserable and full of remorse.

Now, what happens then?

A picture of ourselves as being miserable and full of remorse inevitably attracts, you know, we are forever broadcasting to each other on these subconscious levels continuously. Continuously we immediately attract to ourselves those people who are going to bring us a beautiful new experience or several new experiences that are going to cause us to have an ever more profound feeling of guilt and sorrow and remorse and then we are going to say to ourselves ourselves the good that I would I do not and the evil that I would not that I do and we will not know why we do this and it is because we do not know how to respond to each and every experience in terms of its reality in terms of insight in terms of discrimination and therefore start building the picture that would bring us a true and lasting type of fulfillment not that it will last forever because nothing can the beauty and glory of life is that everything is in the flux and change of beingness wouldn't you be bored to death if everything remained always as it is?

Is not the blue sky more appreciated because we also have times when it is overcast and perhaps those of us here in this area who suffer from the smog have developed an even greater joyous, outpouring appreciation for a clear day and a blue sky than those who have not been blessed. And notice I said blessed with a little smug for the discomfort and the development of an awareness of beauty beauty awareness of beauty here we come to perhaps the most vital area of wealth and poverty and what it entails what is beauty beauty is anywhere and everywhere if we see it that way you know it may be a trite saying beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and you remember I have told you about my little dog sadi who used to love to sleep on my pillow mostly on my face but after quite a struggle we'd usually get her to at least leave that part of my face free so I would keep from asphyxiating anyway and she used to sing cosmic music to me every night she played the most astonishing and glorious symphonies and I listened and I listened to the sound and the breath of livingness coming from her as she sang these things and this is beauty but you know near and dear ones of mine and I love them I love them I'm sure god will forgive them for not having the ear to hear would not occasionally but often laugh at me who could hear this beauty and say for God's sake then you know damn well excuse me I am quoting you know damn well she's only snoring unquote what is beauty and was she really a noise is a noise it's a sound of life isn't it if I choose to interpret it in one way am I being a deluded fool because it has also been said that love is blind don't you see and therefore I have been accused of just being incapable of hearing what is real that is I was I've been accused of being separated from reality because I couldn't hear what was actually there that is but all the others heard but truly which of us was separated from reality you know that lovely little old saying 50 million Frenchmen can be wrong and I insist that everyone I repeat everyone was wrong and I was right I hope you agree with me because you never listened to her music had you listened you might have joined the opposing forces I hope not but had you tuned into my consciousness you would have heard what I heard this actually happens to be the case then let's take the case of uh of odors what is beauty and believe you me my darlings don't ever think for one moment that talking about beauty is separate from the tarot mine of abundance because the only abundance we have is the capacity to experience life and to the degree that we have not got a capacity to experience life to that degree are we poor we are zombies or we are practically dead and just don't know enough to pull in the grave over our heads those of us who do not know how to experience life abundance is an abundance of consciousness that can create and it is better to have an abundance of consciousness that creates hair-raising escapades because it's at least doing something having the repercussions and going somewhere than the deadly dullness of nothingness. The opposites are a glorious gift to us, and did we but know it. It's all the excuse we need for the so-called evil which exists, where we do not deny it in the relative sense. But could we but see it? It gives every reason that anyone could ask for for the idea of evil merely because it can give us an awareness and consciousness of the opposite and to us perhaps more than anything the concept of good and evil might be more verbalized in an accurate manner by saying beauty and ugliness you know in Qabalah the Christ consciousness is a sign to beauty that yellow circle on the tree of life in the middle this is beauty that's the Christ consciousness that's generic humanity that is Adam that is the son of God that's us and we have the capacity to directly know and experience beauty don't let anyone ever tell you that love is blind don't let anyone ever take away from you whatever capacity you have for seeing beauty where others cannot see it but always remember too that the ability and capacity to see and experience beauty does not take away the ability to see the immaturity because again let me mention in regards to my little sadi whom incidentally I had to send to heaven this week she was 15 and a half years old and it became necessary but as I said again in relation to my precious little sadi I have had and heard people say that having a dog like that so spoiled and so on was a very a reprehensible thing that she wasn't truly beautiful she was very raggedy you know she was very raggedy but I created her that way you know I my consciousness created the form that Sadi came in years before Sadi came to me you've never perhaps heard that story or have you I think those who come to my Thursday night classes have heard the story I've told it and she was a gift of God to teach me what is beauty and to teach me what is and what riches and abundance happen to be and not to be because I found through that little creature that little gift of life not that I haven't also found it through many other areas but God used this little creature to be to be the first opening of the inner door in order to show me what the true abundance of life can be and it came how in terms of finding out what love is and is not because remember beauty cannot be separated from love when we look out at a sunset and we see the glorious color and the subtleties and the outlines and we say how beautiful this is a rush of love that comes pouring and emanating out from our inner beingness our consciousness has been inspired it has had an impact from god within because remember the reaction is inside even though we have seen it outside or seem to have seen it outside it is inside everything happens to us inside is it joy it happens to us inside love inside sorrow where do the tears pour from from inside is it hope from inside is it fear from inside it is our inside reaction reaction to what we have gathered together from impressions that gives us our love or our hate our beauty or our ugliness and the beauty Is always there and everywhere for those who learn how to look Now you see with our consciousness remember we have told you before we are like what you might call the microscope for God. In other words, in order for God to experience the amazing interrelationship and the shapes and the wondrous colors and so on in the field of the minute God formed parts of his consciousness you might say as a sort of microscope which is human consciousness so that if God wants to know what is the miracle and the beauty of these shapes that we see on the leaf in one tree and the leaf on another tree and even the leaves that are almost the same on a single tree.

We see them in variation.

My cat, Tomas, who is a glorious, majestic creature, most people look at him and all they see is a very big cat. But you see, they don't know how to look. They haven't used that microscopic treasure which is the way God can experience the miracle and wondrousness of the small but I look at my Tomas as he sits next to me and I noticed he has two little whorls on his nose each going in an opposite direction like the whorl of the wheel of fortune is trying to indicate it's really trying to indicate a spiral you know but in as much as there are certain symbols have to be shown forth it's presented this way but the the idea is the spiral well I noticed that my tomas my glorious little creature cat has two little swirls that go in opposite directions right on the side of his nose and that though people would describe him as a sort of tiger effect gray that gray and black tiger effect again they don't know how to look they're not letting God see through their eyes don't you see because I look and I see subtle suggestions of a sort of rusty rose color up beyond that gray and black and the the impact cat of that subtlety of that rust and rose mingled with that gray and black and the amazing shape that this tiger type of cat can have with these little swirls and the color in the eyes and to watch what the pupils do this is letting god see through our eyes and if we only knew it every time we look at anything with a lift of wonder and joy we are experiencing God directly people hammer themselves on the head and they sit cross-legged and they make they ruin the muscles of their eye structure by crossing their eyes to look at the tip of their nose and why they should be so stuck on the navel in certain schools of thought is beyond us but some of them will meditate so very carefully and assiduously on that area of their anatomy trying to experience God the nonsense although it's rather charming in a way it's the chuckle of life is it not we must learn to chuckle at ourselves the thing is these very people if they only knew all they would have to do is take a look at the wall of their house or a picture or a sky or a bird a creature a human being look at them carefully as the microscopic aspect of God's consciousness experiencing an awareness of the little details of its allness that's really what it amounts to you know how we have to take a microscope in order to look at a snowflake and we discover the most amazing pattern have you gone to these various places where they have been shown it is astonishing there isn't a single snowflake that is the same as another snowflake every snowflake is uniquely different and it is in these amazing shapes but all the shape of a star incidentally a star and these are of course here in southern California we do not see the snowfall but we've at least those of us who've come from the east have seen it and perhaps we have traveled up to the mountain to manage to see this but why the snowflake it's in anything the point is we have to take a microscope to see what perfection in pattern we have right here by getting our consciousness pointed downward in other words by limiting our awareness and so if we want to ask why did God make us such limited beings if we want to ask that question and philosophers ask it very much and with great sorrow all we have to realize is that in as much as it takes a microscope to see the miracles of the little miniature microscopic world why should God not also want the experience of seeing the miniature microscopic aspects and experiencing them within his allness and livingness and we are that we are that now that course has been used very often in eastern thought thou art that but you see better than thou art that I think is to say I am it I am it because it is in the eye we have to learn to see what we're doing with our eye consciousness in order to know what true abundance happens to be. If we have an abundance of emotions, we should sing praises to God because we are living, we are alive, even if we use our emotions in ways that brings us sorrow. So what? We need the sorrow. This is a part of our riches. Do you think any one of you would have compassion if you had not known sorrow do you think any one of you would have been searching for the deeper heart and meaning of your beingness had you not known sorrow do you think that you would be capable of joy had you not known sorrow. We need to develop a different attitude towards sorrow and curiously enough what happens then is that we lose the need for sorrow.

You know as Jesus said, seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all these things shall be added unto you we need sorrow until we have discovered who and what we are and how to use this miracle of consciousness we need sorrow to deepen the cup of our beingness and as long as we have sorrow we also know we're going to have joy as long as we have wealth we know we're going to have poverty if we put it on the outside but to the degree that we teach and train ourselves to utilize that beautiful principle of neptune you know in our 12th tarot key we have that hangman he's hanging upside down the reversal to the degree that we learn how to use this miraculous reversal of attitude of interpretation to that degree will we eliminate the need for the truly sorrowful experiences and particularly the experiences that bring us the horrors of life the true horrors of life for example take with my little Sadie I have just gone through the sorrow of losing a little companion I had for 15 and a half years now I know someone who after losing her little dog spent two years brooding and blaming everyone the veterinarian her husband herself and she developed a serious illness as a result of this continuous weeping and brooding and finally even developed such bitterness towards her husband that she found it was impossible to stay with him she left him in other words her need to hang on to the sorrow brought her a breakup of all the other situations some of which might have been good to stay with but on the other hand this was her need and in the long run it was even better for her there the fact that she had to be bitter brought her into a different kind of world in life and grew woo her later in very wonderful ways nevertheless I cannot beyond the tears I certainly did shed for a few moments I cannot hold sorrow because here is what we mean by abundance and riches because I know that I was given the gift of taking care of a little fragment of life that belongs to God and I had the great joy of this little creature prancing and dancing of making my life quite miserable and being so charming about it that I wouldn't have given up one instant of it of studying my methods of discipline and learning how to discipline me so that I wasn't even my own master one word from me and we always had it her way and I learned how to laugh through her how to laugh at the egomania that human beings have this need to be the boss this need to have the authority this need to be thought of as being the controlling factor that's what she taught me she taught me humility she taught me that one one little dog could get the best of a human consciousness.

Any time she chose to lure and beguile and taught me how to chuckle at my vanities. Is this not great riches?

So how could I sit about grieving and therefore form more nonsense? I have had riches there and everywhere.

There are some who say, my the terrible things happened to me when I was this age and that age and the other age and they weave back and forth and the minute they meet someone they figure the way to get that person to love me or like me is to tell them all about the terrible times I've had and how misunderstood I've been and so on that makes us sort of unique and wonderful we think but don't we do it especially children you know but I don't mean the real little children who are so close to God the children that are a little bigger than little by the time they get into their pre-adolescent and adolescent stages and where they remain until they die at age 120 these are the people who seem to think that they get and gather the interest of others by broadcasting how what a miserable life they've had they think that this makes them somehow sound very wonderful and you see this is how we create an abundance of continuing sorrow then what is the true secret of abundance really of course the beauty how can we see beauty by recognizing the miracle of awareness of consciousness that we are and have by being grateful to the one life as often as we can manage to train ourselves to remember to be grateful that we are that miracle-ness that miracle of beingness that can see that can be aware that that can know, to look back over our lives and thank God for the riches of having been betrayed, of having been hurt, of having been injured, of having been loved, of having been rewarded, to see each and every one of the opposites as the riches of our livingness, which made us able in this instance to understand and to have insight.

Then do you see what that does? It transmutes and melts away the bitterness.

It transmutes and melts away the resentment.

It transmutes and melts away the poverty that we circumscribe ourselves with because as long as we can keep saying my god how rich I am imagine having had the privilege of this and that and the other imagine having the privilege the miracle of being able to drive my car I remember I said to someone recently why are you in such a terrible state after all look you have a home you have a car you have people who love you you don't have to worry about whether you're going to eat tomorrow or not why are you in such a state of despair you are rich imagine the riches that you have to have all this and she said why should I feel rich about that practically everybody's got that and I said do they there's a big difference between having it consciously and with an outpouring heart filled with gratitude and having it unconsciously where it has no meaning you see we should not take for granted anything and in that way life will keep us from being bored that for sure and isn't one of the things that we suffer from the most poignantly the loneliness or the boredom as long as you train your heart to go out with amazement with wonder with the feeling of miracle of the livingness around you believe me my darling this livingness will come back to walk with you and live with you in the form of people and pets and material things you could have a billion dollars and you can be insecure and empty and you can have not one cent in the bank and yet you will never know want not really if you train yourself to live in the abundance of consciousness to live in love to to train yourself to see beauty wherever you look, to look at people on the street, to look at them in your home, to look at your wives and husbands and children and friends and neighbors and enemies, to look at them and say, this is a center of God.

Inasmuch as this person or this creature is, this is an attribute of God living itself into and through this group of conditionings which we call the personality into becoming more and more and more abundantly rich and then see what happens to your lives see what happens to your security so please let's leave today let's leave this morning with this thought impressed upon our consciousness the wheeling whirling laws of life bring back to us exactly what we're holding in our expectation and in our response to today's condition don't worry about yesterday and with that thought in mind because after all we said the dead bury the dead you're experiencing today and the results of yesterday and we have tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow but tomorrow will be no different than today if we do not change our response today so today is the way we change it and how we go out and we try to feel don't just look try to look for it with your eyes with your physical eyes it won't work you have to try to feel it and you have to listen for it try to hear a cosmic symphony when your husband or wife is snoring it's not really so hard and in order to give you a little help I can really say this say to yourself this is a sign of his or her livingness this in breathing and out breathing the fact that it is audible is to give me the extra sense of joy of awareness of the in breathing and out breathing of the spirit and livingness of this beloved and you know what you might even find you're going to love your husband or wife more than you did and that never hurt anybody as we all know to find ourselves loving more intensively whatever we've got it could be more I've always been called a hog I've said if a little is good a lot's better and I've gotten into a lot of trouble over that and I've gained a lot of riches for which I am grateful beyond description go thou out likewise and learn to be grateful for everything by listening for and looking for and feeling for the beauty and wonder and miracle that resides inside and all about yesterday today and forever ever more.
