We're now going to be discussing one of my favorite subjects, and that has to do with the power of vibration. I realize that there are quite a few of you present who were not here when we gave our original introduction to the power of vibration when I first trained this congregation in using methods of the ancient mystery schools, which had never been done before, except for those and with those who had gone through some very stringent initiations, oaths, and so on. But under the direction of the master who's behind the work of the mystery training that the OTA represents, the tarot Qabalistic paths of return, we had decided in the inner school to give out a great deal more because we were preparing for quite a few spiritual breakthroughs and you know everyone has to prepare ahead of time even whether when we're even when we're dealing with business we have to project ahead and know just what we're going to do in terms of capital investment just what we're going to do in terms of ordering various items that are needed in order to have the material necessary to manufacture and then we have to project ahead and know exactly what uh will be required in terms of customers to just break even and of course that's never enough because you have to have your overhead and so on. However, in the work we decided to do at that time, and this was something like three years ago, two to three, more like three years, I haven't checked it exactly, we, during the Sunday morning services, gave a whole group of teachings relating to the use of the vibratory powers, the understanding of just what this entailed and we trained the congregation in the usage of our qabalistic chant which is the root of the healing work in the mystery training and it has far more meanings than we were even remotely able to give at that time or indeed could even give now to the the open temple. So those who prepare themselves for initiation into the inner aspects of our work discover in time as they prepare themselves. We have other areas of work using the esoteric powers and understanding more fully the vibratory aspect of the use of these spiritual powers and just what is involved.

I have felt that it would be a good idea to give you a very short, condensed explanation of what you are doing when you use the Qabalistic challenge and when we intone the four divine names. And I think that as we do this, perhaps you will be able to put more heart and spirit into it, although we have enough here to put the heart and spirit the more who know what they're doing the more vital becomes the work and so I'm going to recapitulate something I gave three years ago during a period of almost a full year in just a few words that's quite an order so you can understand we're not going to be giving you details we can't at this point though in my classes now relating to esoteric astrology, I am throwing in here and there some of these other ideas because they tie in together.

Color and sound, which involves vibratory powers, is not separate from esoteric astrology, which also involves the motion of substance or the vibration of substance in its special expressions. Where there are many areas and levels of occult knowledge, and knowledge becomes completely essential for those aspirants who are ready to become competent in taking their place in the administration of the cosmic law and in the full transmutation of their own being. Now then, the vibratory powers are very definitely intensified usages of the creative methods of God.

How is this? Well, think for a moment. In Genesis, all creation starts with God said. Each level of development or creation is and god said now said is vibration again in the new testament I remind you uh in saint john the very first chapter uh we hear in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god and then later this word was the light and the life of men well vibration remember is in essence another way of saying with a word or the power of the word and in our Eastern philosophies we have these methods that are taught by the gurus to their disciples personally and it always has has to be under personal supervision, where the disciples are given special types of disciplines that have to do with chanting or vibrating what they call holy syllables. And in the Eastern philosophy, they tell you consistently that creation is begun by sound, stands in in sound and evolves in and through sound.

They call sound the first expression.

And sound, remember, is really another way of translating from the script of the Eastern philosophies the idea of vibratory power.

The vibratory power, which can be called sound, precede light and our modern astronomers have discovered this because it's the it's the vibration of the atoms in the universe which start bringing them into a whirling motion condensing and convincing them that finally the compression makes them break into light so God said did come before the idea of light or the flaring up of suns this you want to keep in mind the Qabalists knew exactly what they were speaking of and also keep in mind that the really mystical parts of the Bible that relate to Qabalah were not developed originally on earth at all the history is that it was given to man by the angels and archangels which is completely true especially when you remember that there are different levels of consciousness and that that which has evolved in other areas of the universe on the outer plane continues to exist as knowledge on the inner and this is handed on to those who are ready to receive now in our work here at the temple we have given a certain portion of the training in the use of vibratory sounds in order to do quite a few things it isn't just one thing we're after first of all as I mentioned to you the inner school after we had quite a bit of consultation on this we came to the conclusion that it was very necessary to bring about a training for the purpose of getting focal points of power uh developed on this planet so that the evolutionary energy is necessary for this aquarian age could start coming in more rapidly and these focal points are pretty much like having a funnel opened up to just a very an area say of a water faucet if you haven't got the funnel you're not going to get the water into the bottle as you know in the same way you develop whirling centers of force in order to get special more intensive vibrations working on the physical plane and transmuting the very atomic structure of the physical plane this means again making it possible for the consciousness that is the thinking and the the feeling to more readily transmute to change its old ignorant um hating its separate separatism it's very unspiritual response to life and to intensify the ability for the thinking and feeling to receive the kind of reactions and to make the kind of response that is in harmony with the divine plan for the brotherhood of man which means preparing ourselves to be able to be brothers and sisters to each other incidentally because you know charity begins at home and that's why we promote this fraternal love and harmony here at the temple it's easiest for us to learn to love each other and accept each other right here those of us who are working together with certain vibratory powers and to chuckle and accept each other with our differences instead of criticizing each other for being different in response to life from that we can take it out into our families into life and into the whole social structure of this world now then the vibratory powers we decided to train our particular core in had to do basically with what you have heard me mention before the cabalistic chant as well as using the seven inner holy planetary centers which are really whirling centers of force in order to get a vibration going that will tune all seven together and open us up to a transmutation of the entire our personality. We are working with that part of it, incidentally, in our classes now, the more detailed aspect. But the only place that we use the Qabalistic chant is in temple here during the Sunday morning services, as well as in some of the inner aspects of our work. Now, what is it that is really involved with this vibratory power? Remember, in our our Qabalistic chant, when we get up first to invoke the holy powers and to join together in what we call the healing, the thing to always remember is this, that in a true college level of occult training, when we talk of healing, we're not just talking about the kind of healing that elementary metaphysics talks about, that is sending a positive thought to somebody we're talking about healing the nonsense in our own minds and hearts and bodies we're talking about healing our ignorance and immaturity which in turn starts to heal everything else makes us more potent in our own healing abilities to project that uh type of thinking feeling and being to others uh just by virtue of the extra power we develop the more power we have the more potent we are in helping others to change their thinking and feeling remember this always and yet power uh can corrupt and you know infinite power corrupts infinitely so that we have to always be working with an ability to understand how much work is needed and our own emotions and our own thinking as well as intensifying our power in whatever ways have been given so that we can do this and at the same time have the power to influence others constructively on spiritual levels and spiritual levels only.

Woe to those who attempt to use it in other ways. And this is one of the main reasons we have always been reluctant in the inner school to give out these extra powers now in the Qabalistic chant we use holy what we call the holy syllable and a detailed explanation of these is impossible to the temple nevertheless already we have given you the use of the syllables in the special way that takes care of every level of your body of every level of your mind and every level of your heart the chanting that starts off with one note and goes up the scale where each of you remember you start off with a C I don't remember if you'll give me a C Thank you God.

Or boss or angel, I don't care which, they're all the same to me.

Now, notice that what we do, those of you who can most easily take the lowest note, take that. Those of you who most easily take the middle note, you take that. And those who most easily can hold the higher note, take that. What we do, there are three notes that are being chanted together with the holy syllables of E. see the one who takes the lower note just stays with that note and goes E-A-U But while that one is being done, the one with the middle one and then there's a higher one I'm not going to attempt it I think I could hit it at the moment but I won't try but the idea is we're doing it together now you see you know the reason this is being done is because there are three different levels that are being worked to bring harmony into your being it has to do incidentally with esoteric astrology because the first two notes are dealing with the colors that are what in astrology is called trine aspect that is they have a natural harmony one with the other but the third note although it there is a harmonic with it and it is absolutely beautiful together in terms of sound in terms of the vibration that has to do with the universal impact within us it's what is called a square and that means that we have not yet learned how to handle what astrology may call a square with our trine and so we are vibrating an area of our nature that is a part of every one of us that part of the planet part of the solar system and part of the whole universal vibratory seas of energy we are vibrating these together because we are bringing about an ability for us to correlate something that has been out of harmony with ourselves as a basic principle because of the evolutionary level we're in and we're starting to bring in an ability to harmonize it through the vibratory sound here's the point through the vibratory sound so that each one of those three bars we go through five times it takes us up the scale when we're through we we have used every one of the notes that we have in a particular octave plus a few others that have been repeated in order to bring about an interrelationship so that we can become harmonious in our own thinking, feeling nature where we were not harmonious before.

And that in turn affects the atomic structure in our bodies which affects the chemical compounds, which affects the single cells, and then affects the groups of cells, so that we work from the very root of the vibratory power that, and God said, the idea that in the beginning was the word. I mean, this is the principle that's behind that particular part of what we do. And it can never be done in any way except in a group, the Qabalistic chant. Furthermore, it's necessary for a certain core of the group to have been working together a certain length of time for the power to get more and more charged. Now, that is just one aspect. What about the divine names and the power of certain words for spiritual unfoldment? Remember in the holy qabalah which is said to have been received by the angels and if you don't believe it someday you'll have it proven to you in other ways meanwhile just sort of say well maybe it's true and you don't have to believe anything blindly here as you know just be willing to say well maybe it's true let's find out let's work with it and in time we will know when you work with it you certainly discover that you're working with a fantastic power fantastic indeed now in the holy qabalah as we pointed out there are the ten divine emanations and actually every one of these ten divine emanations has what is called a divine name doesn't mean there are ten gods it means that the one god emanates ten vibratory levels or rates which bring about certain manifestations both on the inner subtle levels as well as the final outer level of its expression and we use four of these divine names for special reasons which I haven't got time to go into this morning but which we'll take up again from time to time I did go into it in previous talks at that original time when I gave the original training as I pointed out to you but we use four of these divine names because we are dealing primarily in the temple although later work will in the esoteric work gives further training in this we are dealing with the divine name that has to do with the one the indivisible the beginning of the whirlings that which projects that which we mean when we say and the beginning was the word and that which we mean when it says and God said that That is the one, the indivisible.

It's called aheia. And aheia is one of the divine names. There is also an archangelic name for that area, incidentally. And there are other vibratory powers that go down the scale. And we always start our work with divinity in true occult training, in the real mystery schools. So we vibrate the divinity vibration for the one, the indivisible, that is reaching to that to come into us and transmute us for ourselves and the rest of life then the next divine name that we chant if you remember is yod-heh-vah-heh mistranslated Jehovah in the Bible these are the four divine holy names a holy letters that have to do again with the combination of vibrations that bring about another level of manifestation and creation and it's related to the projecting power of the masculine principle of the one the indivisible so it is the cosmic father and that's the yod hey vahe that we chant and we are tuning ourselves into the cosmic father projecting power principle uh we and as we work with this regularly the beat of week by week is what opens us as you know you can't just do it once and have it it's a consistent development that's taking place within ourselves and those who can't be consistent certainly aren't working to be competent are they to know what is good and not good right and not right true and not true then the next divine name that you chant is Elohim as you remember now that on the tree of life is assigned to the cosmic mother it is called the divine soul the forever pure and undefiled it is that which gives you the human soul and so it is in essence intoning the particular syllables bringing about a vibratory combination that is opening you to more completely and fully express the divine soul that is the thing that gives you real feeling on the higher levels the thing that gives you the real power to hold and to nourish to nourish remember the divine mother is that which nourishes and uh it does far more than I can remotely tell you but I'm just trying to give you a very quick uh perception into what we the things we do here then finally we jump the rest of the tree and we go down to what we call malkus and that is the physical universe it is called the kingdom in qabalah and the divine name for that particular aspect which really means the vibratory emanation of the one the divine that brings about the greatest development in that level or area to fulfill it is that is what is called adonai and that is really it means lord in a literal translation and it's just another word uh adonai lord for any of the other divine names they're each names for the other depending on what they're expressing at the moment just like you're a mother a father a sister a brother a friend uh you're the you expressing certain powers so the adonai is a combination of vibratory levels and what it does it sets up a beat just like a certain note will smash a glass and ultrasonics will smash a gallstone also can kill you if you overdo it and the same but in the same way the use of the vibration of the divine syllables and the uh certain word powers which have to do with the syllables and notes within them this is what smashes the old forms of thinking and feeling and negativeness in the vehicle bringing in this power this extra brilliance of the divine creation keeping an evolutionary flow going to help us get rid of the old and transmute ourselves into the new and I think this is about all we have time to say to try to give you an idea what it is that you're doing when you're chanting with us and to try to help you to realize that it is the regular participation that does the job the regular participation along with understanding what's happening although you also have to have a channel to that is already trained to bring in these levels and that way when you have that which I hope you realize you do have in me I worked hard to become this for you very hard because the only thing that matters to me in life the only thing is to help bring you the happiness and the freedom and the love that is there for you because I am too much at one with God, with the universe, and with you to be able to rest or to sleep comfortably until all of us are living and flowing with the love and the harmony that is there for us in our destiny.

And so I say, let's march together towards that love when we vibrate and keep this in mind when we do our healing work today and always.
